As the 72nd edition of the Cannes Film Festival has just ended, the TF1 Group wishes to demonstrate its commitment to French cinema.

The TF1 Group warmly congratulates the team of Les Misérables, Ladj Ly's first feature film, which received Le Prix du Jury. This film, supported by a new generation of exceptional talent, will see its first free-to-air broadcast on TF1 and TMC channels.

Following the success of Gilles Lellouche's film Le Grand Bain, presented out-of-competition last year, the Group is very pleased with the closing screening of the 2019 Cannes Festival of the film Hors Normes by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache starring Vincent Cassel and Reda Kateb, and co-produced by TF1 Films Production.

Ara Aprikian, Executive Vice President, Content at TF1 Group: "TF1 Group is a leading partner of French cinema in all its diversity. We are committed to offering him a very wide exposure on our antennas, particularly in the event box Ciné dimanche on TF1, as well as on the antennas of TMC, TFX and TF1 Séries Films.
We are therefore very proud to once again support Eric Tolédano and Olivier Nakache, whose film Hors Normes has closed the Festival in a very eventful way. It is also a great source of pride to have acquired Ladj Ly's Les Misérables for TF1 and TMC's antennas.
These films are further proof of the Group's ambitious film policy.
