TF1 TO BROADCAST UEFA EURO 2012 AND 2016
TF1 today signed an agreement with UEFA to broadcast the headlining matches in the UEFA EURO 2012 and 2016 football events.
For the Euro 2012 event in Poland & Ukraine, starting on 8 June :
In the group rounds, TF1 will broadcast the first match of the French team and the most anticipated clash in the group, between France and England, on 11 June 2012 at 6 pm.
It will also broadcast :
- Germany/Portugal on 9 June at 8.45 pm
- Netherlands/Germany on 13 June at 8.45 pm
- Spain/Ireland on 14 June at 8.45 pm
- Croatia/Spain or Italy/Ireland on 18 June at 8.45 pm
In the second phase of the competition, TF1 will broadcast :
- the first and fourth choice in the quarterfinals. If France reaches the quarterfinals, the team's match will be broadcast on TF1. The channel will also air one of the semi-finals;
- the final.
A total of 9 matches will be broadcast on TF1.
For Euro 2016 in France,
TF1 will broadcast 11 of the top matches, selected after the draw is made for the competition in December 2015.
