First TF1 Challenge :
great ideas and strong participation !

The aim of the first TF1 Challenge, organised by TF1's Innovation Department and in partnership with Metro newspaper, was to encourage students from top-level French universities to create an innovative TV programme using new technologies.

The Challenge, sponsored by Denis Brogniart, proved extremely successful, with contributions from 84 teams and the involvement of 77 universities and faculties from across France. The students were given a little over two months to design their projects.

Yesterday, 28 June, the "Clash of the Regions" project team from Paris Dauphine University and the ENSEIRB Engineering School was awarded first prize in the presence of the jury, made up of Senior Management Committee members, the chief editor of Metro, Denis Brogniart and TF1 employees.

The top three teams* will take part in the first TF1 Masterclass, a two-day event giving them the chance to go behind the scenes and find out about the entire creative, direction and production process involved in making a TV programme, with the participation of programme unit heads, high-profile hosts and TF1 channel executives.

This approach is part of the Group's two-fold aim to confirm its innovative momentum and continuously interact with the public.
