TF1 GROUP AND BEIN SPORTS REACH AGREEMENT
ON BROADCASTING THE IHF WORLD HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The TF1 Group has acquired from beIN SPORTS the broadcasting right to several matches from the IHF men's and women's World Handball Championship during the 2019 and 2025 period (4 men's tournaments and 4 women's tournaments).

The TF1 group will be the exclusive free-to-air broadcaster, in each of the competitions, of 3 matches of the French national team during the pool phases (preliminary phase and main competition) as well as 1/2F in case of participation of the French national team, up to 4 meetings of the French teams for each edition. In addition, the TF1 group will broadcast, exclusively free-to-air, the final of the men's and women's Handball World Handball Championships if France reaches that stage. All these matches will be co-screened by beIN SPORTS.

beIN SPORTS had previously acquired the rights of the entirety of the IHF World Men's and Women's Handball Championships from Lagardère Sports, the agency retained by the IHF, for the 2019- 2025 period. beIN SPORTS will therefore broadcast exclusively all the others meetings of the Teams of France.

The TF1 Group had previously acquired from Lagardère Sports the rights  to carry free-to-air coverage of any finals of the Men's and Women's IHF World Handball Championships from 2019 to 2025 in the event of the participation of the  French team.
