A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies, Thierry Thuillier joined TF1 in 1990, working in the foreign affairs department and then the domestic affairs department.

He moved to France 2 News in 1994, where he was successively in charge of the international department, the investigation and reporting department, and then editor-in-chief of the 8 p.m. news.

Between 2008 and 2010, he headed up the editorial team at I>Télé before returning to France Télévisions as Director of News and then Managing Director of France 2. He initiated the merger of the editorial teams of the public channels and brought a new dynamic to the news programs.

He rejoined the TF1 Group in August 2016 as CEO of LCI.  

In September 2017, Thierry Thuillier was appointed Deputy CEO of News for the TF1 Group.
