TF1 is pleased to announce the appointment of Gilles Bouleau as weekday anchor for the 8 pm Newscast.
 
 


Profile of Gilles BOULEAU :

Born in 1962 Gilles Bouleau graduated from Sciences Po Paris with a Master's in political science and public law. In 1984 he joined the national training centre for journalists.
In 1986 Gilles joined the economic and social desk of TF1, winning the Jean d'Arcy prize the same year. In 1987 he moved to the domestic politics desk, transferring to the investigation and reporting desk the following year. From 1989 to 1994 he worked as a journalist with the general news desk. In 1994 he served as special correspondent and deputy head of the arts and entertainment desk. From 1996 to 1999 he was a news anchor on LCI. In September 1999 he was appointed chief editor of the 19:00 Dimanche Sunday special. In June he became permanent correspondent in London. In August 2005 he took over as permanent correspondent in Washington. From July 2011 to the present Gilles was a stand-in anchor for the 8 pm Newscast.
