TF1 Group partners with ESSEC and its Media & Entertainment Chair

Nonce Paolini, Chairman and CEO of TF1 Group, and Pierre Tapie, Dean and President of the ESSEC business school group, last week signed a four-year partnership agreement.

With the agreement, the TF1 Group becomes an active member of the school and the first media group to partner its academic chair specialised in media and entertainment.

The purpose of the partnership is to supply input for expert analysis and to open up the field to the largest number of stakeholders, including students, researchers, professors and decision makers.

For example, the TF1 Group will give students an opportunity to work on research topics covering the latest developments in the broadcasting industry, and the Group's senior managers will make presentations to students at workshops organised by ESSEC. In addition, TF1 Group will benefit from the expertise of the school's faculty. TF1 Group's commitment stems from its determination to foster a wider-ranging dialogue with students on all its business lines.

Commenting, TF1 Group Chairman and CEO Nonce Paolini said "We are very pleased with the partnership. It will allow TF1 Group to advance its strategic thinking on the future of the broadcasting industry, relying on the expertise of ESSEC's renowned Media & Entertainment Chair. It is also consistent with our plan to continually enhance relations with the world of higher education and research"
.
ESSEC Dean and President Pierre Tapie said: "We are delighted with the tie-up, especially since it is rare for a major media group such as TF1 to build a corporate partnership covering ESSEC's entire academic spectrum, both in teaching and in research".
