TF1 WINS TROPHEES DU FILM FRANÇAIS AWARDS

The TF1 group has won four prizes at 20th Trophées du Film Français awards. The prizes,
acknowledging the Group's commitment to professionals in the creation sector, were as follows :

 

  • TF1 Audience Award, voted by TF1 group website users from the top 15 box-office successes in France in 2012: Le prénom by Alexandre de La Patellière and Mathieu Delaporte.
  • "Le Film Français" Award : Houba! On the Trail of Marsupilami by Alain Chabat (Pathé Distribution).
  • UniFrance Films Award (*) : The Intouchables by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache (Gaumont Distribution).

     

Commenting, Nathalie Toulza-Madar, CEO of TF1 Films Production, said : "We are delighted that the TF1 Audience Award went to Le Prénom by Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte. We would also like to congratulate Alain Chabat and the people at Pathé for Houba! On the Trail of Marsupilami for the Film Français Award, and we are very happy that The Intouchables took this year's Unifrance Award for its outstanding international success. The three films, co-produced by TF1 Films Production, will make their debut unencrypted broadcasts on the TF1 channel."

TF1 also won an award in the One-Off Drama category with A dix minutes des naturistes by Stéphane Clavier (GMT Productions).

Nathalie Laurent, Artistic Director for French Drama, said : "We are very happy to receive the One-Off Drama Award and would like to congratulate all the production teams and artists behind the film, which appealed to a broad audience on TF1."

(*) Award for the majority French film, in French language, having scored the biggest box-office success internationally in
2012.
