Death of Geneviève de Fontenay – TF1 group response

It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Geneviève de Fontenay, inextricably linked with the Miss France contest screened by TF1 for many years.

With her characteristic elegance, exceptional personality and firmly held beliefs, she turned Miss France into an unmissable, mass-appeal national event. Very popular with the French public, she built strong ties across the French regions, especially through her close collaboration with the Miss France regional organising committees.
