In summary : A new academic year is starting at the Institut Auguste Armand cookery school. Maxime Delcourt is a nervous wreck at his entrance exam: there’s a lot riding on it, for both his career and his love life. It’s not long ago in the nearby town of Sète that he fell for star cookery student Salomé. She gave him a taste for haute cuisine. He imagines himself taking French gastronomy by storm, with her at this side. But now she’s giving him the cold shoulder. Why? After all, it had been mutual…

Boss Auguste Armand is proud of his restructured, modernised school. He’s hired Antoine Myriel as his new principal, and persuaded his newly-reconciled daughter Rose to come back home. But her elder sister Clotilde, who has hated her with a passion since their childhood, is determined to make life difficult. She will stop at nothing to be her father’s favourite. Meanwhile, chef Teyssier and his assistant Noémie are being threatened by a blackmailer, who is reminding them of things in their past they would rather forget.

The quest for perfection, family tensions, guilty secrets from the past, lies, treachery, and revenge: every day brings new dramas for students and staff alike. Behind the magnificent stone facade lies a darker reality. But nothing will lessen the students’ desire to become the next generation of starred French chefs.
